Steinbuck

single vineyard in the municipality of Bischoffingen (Kaiserstuhl area) in the German wine-growing region of Baden. The vineyards, which are mainly southwest-facing and partly terraced in a wave to the southeast, are 270 metres above sea level with a slope of 10 to 50% and cover 16 hectares of vineyards on stony volcanic weathered soils with some stones and loess. Mainly Burgundy varieties are cultivated here. The Bercher-Schmidt and Johner Karl-Heinz wineries, for example, have shares in the site.
