Steillage

Designation (also steep slope) for a particularly steep vineyard or vineyard area with a slope of 45 degrees (i.e. 100%) and more, which also requires special cultivation. Very often such vineyards are laid out in terraces and, due to the steepness, may have to be cultivated with monorack tracks.
