Term (also steep slope) for a particularly steep vineyard or vineyard area with an inclination of 45 degrees (the equivalent of 100%) and more, which also requires special cultivation. Very often, such vineyards are laid out in terraces and may have to be cultivated with monorack tracks due to the steepness. The picture shows such a vineyard in the Calmont steep slope in the municipality of Bremm in the German Moselle wine-growing region. See in detail under the keyword steepest vineyard (with many pictures of steep slopes).
