Stammen Carsten

The German wine journalist, author, copywriter and taster (wine critic) Carsten M. Stammen (*1971) lives near Frankfurt am Main. He specialises in wines from Germany, France, Austria and Spain as well as the hospitality and service industries. He is a member of the German Sommelier Union, the German Association of Specialist Journalists and the Food & Wine Culture advisory network.

Professional background

After training as a restaurant specialist at Hotel Schloss Hugenpoet in Essen-Kettwig, Stammen studied tourism business management at Heilbronn University and completed a traineeship at the Vienna Hilton Hotel in Vienna. He wrote his diploma thesis on "Intra-organisational conflicts in the hotel and catering industry".
