The winery is located in the municipality of Merdingen (Tuniberg area) in the German wine-growing region of Baden. It was founded in 1988 by Edgar Bärmann and Conrad Isele. The vineyards cover eight hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Bühl (Merdingen), Rotgrund (Niederrimsing) and Schlossberg (Achkarren). They are planted with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir (about 50% of the total area) and Merlot, as well as with the white wine varieties Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Müller-Thurgau, Riesling, Muscat, Gewürztraminer and Sauvignon Blanc. The vineyards are cultivated in a natural, environmentally friendly way.
