The winery is located in the municipality of Leiwen (Bernkastel area) in the German wine-growing region of Mosel. The winery has been run by Klaus and Annegret Schweicher since 2000. The vineyards cover seven hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Apotheke (Trittenheim), Klostergarten and Laurentiuslay (Leiwen), as well as Ohligsberg (Wintrich). They are 90% planted with Riesling, the rest with Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir. The vineyards are cultivated in a natural, environmentally friendly way. Quality criteria are small grapes, low yields, longer grape ripeness, selected harvesting and slow fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc are matured in barriques. Noble sweet wines and bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced.
