Single vineyard site in the municipality of Bad Dürkheim (area Mittelhaardt-Deutsche Weinstraße) in the German wine-growing region Palatinate. It is one of the oldest sites in the Mittelhaardt. According to nearby finds from the Roman period, it is assumed that the name is derived from "Specula" (Wait, Wartturm), because perhaps a Roman lookout tower once stood here. The vineyards, facing south to south-east with a slope gradient of 5 to 15%, cover 14 hectares of vineyards on clay soils mixed with lime. Riesling is cultivated here above all. The vineyards Castel Peter, Darting Helmut, Fitz-Ritter, Gebrüder Bart, Gut Zumstein, Karst Ernst, Schaefer Karl, Schmitt Egon and Wegner Joachim, for example, have shares in the site.
