The production of Wein, Schaumwein, and Spirituose is governed by corresponding EU Regulations as well as by any supplementary national Weingesetz (see also Wine Production). All Herkunft products are regulated under wine labeling law (for example Tokaji, Champagne, and Cognac). Furthermore, there are many other alcoholic beverages with imaginative names. However, the following listed mostly have no legal wine significance, but only a locally limited or colloquial meaning and are usually not allowed to appear on a bottle label for consumer protection reasons.

Special Wines - Zeppelin Wine, Bag-in-Box, Mess Wine, Hypocras

1 = Zeppelin Wine (after the airship), 2 = Bag-in-Box (wine container), 3 = Mess Wine, 4 = Hypocras (spiced wine)
