The winery is located in the community of Weißenkirchen in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region Wachau. The traditional business was taken over in 1979 by Anton Schneeweiss in third generation. The vineyards comprise five hectares of vineyards in the Achleiten, Lichtgartl, Ritzling, Steinriegel and Vorder Seiber areas. They are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Gelber Muskateller, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Rivaner(Müller-Thurgau), as well as Zweigelt. The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand from the beginning of October to the end of November in several stages. There is no rebelling, the mash is not sulphurized. The must, which is strongly degummed, is fermented with pure yeast in steel tanks until fermentation stops and bottled until May. Among the premium wines are Grüner Veltliner Smaragd, Riesling Smaragd and Chardonnay. The winery is a member of Vinea Wachau Nobilis Districtus.
