Single location in the municipality of Wiltingen (Saar area) in the German Moselle growing region. It was only planted at the beginning of the 1920s, some of the vines still date from this period. The name is possibly derived from an adjacent gorge (Graben). The south-facing vineyard covers nine hectares of vines. The Devonian slate soils are criss-crossed by countless water veins, which emerge as small springs at the foot. For this reason there is an optimal water supply. Here, mainly the Riesling variety is cultivated, some of which is true to its roots. The Nik Weis - St. Urbans-Hof, Reinert, Resch Hans and Weinhof Herrenberg wineries, for example, have their share of the site.
