The winery is located in the community of Windesheim in the German Nahe wine region. The family has been growing wine for over 200 years. The business is run by brothers Markus and Johannes Sinß (oenological training in Geisenheim), who are supported by their parents. The vineyards cover 13 hectares of vines in the Windesheim locations Römerberg, Rosenberg and Sonnenmorgen. More than 90% of them are planted with Pinot Noir, Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris, the rest with other varieties. The selective work in the vineyard forms the foundation for physiologically ripe and healthy grapes, which are processed in the cellar in an extremely gentle manner. The white wines are fermented and aged in steel tanks, lump barrels or 500-litre barrels, depending on the type of wine. The red wines mature after maceration in large wooden barrels and in barriques. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced. The winery is a member of the Generation Riesling winegrowers' association.
