Siegl Viktor

The Austrian wine book author and wine critic Prof. Dr Viktor Siegl (1952-2026) studied law at the University of Vienna and then worked in the federal service from 1978. He published numerous articles on wine and wine culture in the magazines Alles über Wein and Vinaria. He was president of the Austrian Wine Journalists' Club for many years and played a key role in shaping professional wine journalism in Austria. He was active there as tasting director, author and columnist until the end. In his wine evaluations, Viktor Siegl has always conveyed his judgements to the reader in an informative and entertaining way.
