Shesh i Bardhë

The white grape variety (also Pucalla) originates from Albania; the name means "White Shesh". It is named after the community of Shesh west of Tirana. The parentage (parenthood) is unknown. Whether there is a connection to the red variety Shesh i Zi is not known. The late ripening vine is cultivated west of the capital in the centre of the country, where together with Shesh i Zi it makes up about one third of the Albanian population. However, no stock was reported in 2010 (Kym Anderson)
