The white grape variety (also Semis de Malingre) originates from Russia. It is an open flowered seedling of the Précoce de Malingre variety. The vine was selected in Russia in 1910 by the famous botanist Ivan Mitschurin (1855-1935). It is an all-female variety, which is why it is dependent on cross-pollination. It was a crossbreeding partner in the new varieties Mitschurinski, Severny, Vympel and Zarya Severa. The variety is mainly used as a table grape. No stock was reported in 2010 (Kym Anderson).
