The winery is located in the community of Altenahr in the German Ahr wine region. The family has been growing wine since 1775. Since 1995, the seventh generation of the family is Klaus Sermann. A wine bar is connected to the estate. By purchasing the Kreuzberg vineyard in Reimerzhoven, the business was expanded to its current size. The vineyards cover six hectares in the locations Burgberg (Mayschoß), Eck (Altenahr), as well as Forstberg and Rosenthal (Ahrweiler). They are planted with the red wine varieties Spätburgunder, Frühburgunder, Portugieser, Regent and Dornfelder, as well as the white wine varieties Riesling and Müller-Thurgau. In special years, carefully selected grapes are processed into a wine matured in barrique. Fine spirits (yeast, marc) and bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced.
