Sérénèze de Voreppe

The red grape variety comes from France. Synonyms are Cerene, Serene, Serene de Voreppe, Serene di Voreppe and Sérénèze di Voreppe. According to DNA analyses, the variety is a presumably natural cross between Gouais Blanc x Chatus. The Onchette variety was also created with the same parents. The variety used to be cultivated in the south-eastern French department of Ardèche, but is no longer of any importance today. In 2010, the official statistics did not show any stock.
