Seguin Moreau

French tonnellerie (cooperage) based in Cognac. The company was formed in 1972 through the merger of the two barrel manufacturers Seguin (founded in 1838) and Moreau (founded in 1870). The origins of the two companies thus date back to the 19th century. Seguin Moreau is part of the OENEO Group, an international supplier of products and services for the wine and spirits industry.

Large oak containers (foudres) for vinification as fermentation tanks and subsequent ageing. Such large containers enable gentle ageing with a moderate influence of wood.

Products and activity

The company produces wooden barrels for wine and spirits as well as other products for oenology, including barriques, oenological wooden products and larger containers for vinification and ageing. These are used both in the vinification and ageing of wine and spirits. The oak used comes mainly from French forests, which are particularly suitable for the production of barrel wood.
