Producer description of "Rosi Schuster"

The winery is located in the community of St. Margarethen in the Burgenland DAC area Leithaberg. Since 2005, the estate, named after the mother, has been managed by son Hannes Schuster. The vineyards cover 11 hectares of vineyards in the two communities of St. Margarethen am Rusterberg on sandy soils with calcareous subsoil and Zagersdorf on heavy clay soils. About 90% of them are planted with the two main red wine varieties Blaufränkisch and St. Laurent, the rest is stocked with small amounts of Zweigelt, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as the white wine varieties Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
