single vineyard in the municipality of Piesport (Bernkastel area) in the German Moselle wine-growing region. It lies above the Domherr vineyard. The steeply terraced vineyard facing south to southwest at an altitude of 125 to 150 metres above sea level with a slope of 55 to 60% covers only 0.8 hectares of vineyards on clayey, weathered slate soil with very good water storage capacity. The Riesling variety is partly cultivated here ungrafted. The Keller Klaus and Vereinigte Hospitien wineries have shares in the site.
The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
