The winery "Heidi Schröck - wine farmer in Rust" is located in the free city of Rust in Burgenland (Austria). Heidi Schröck took over the business from her parents in 1983. Her motto or "magic formula" is: nature + tradition + man = wine. The vineyards cover ten hectares of vines in the Gmärk, Greiner, Kulm, Turner and Vogelsang areas. They are planted 70% with the white wine varieties Weißburgunder, Grauburgunder, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Muskateller and Welschriesling, and 30% with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, St. Laurent and Cabernet Sauvignon. Among the premium wines are the Ruster Ausbruch, which is only vinified in the best years (depending on the vintage, pure or from Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Furmint, Sauvignon Blanc, Muskateller) and the white wine cuvée "Vogelsang" (Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc). Around 50,000 bottles of wine are produced annually, half of which are exported. About one third of the production are sweet wines of all predicate levels. Fine spirits (wine, grape marc) and bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced. The winery is a member of 11 Frauen & ihre Weine, Cercle Ruster Ausbruch and Le Donne del Vino.
