The winery is located in the municipality of Nierstein in the German wine-growing region of Rheinhessen. It is owned by Albrecht and Ulrike Schneider. The vineyards cover 15 hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Bildstock, Brückchen, Findling, Hipping, Kirchplatte, Klostergarten, Ölberg, Orbel, Paterberg, Pettenthal, Rosenberg and Spiegelberg. They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling (two thirds of the total area), Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Kerner, Weißburgunder (Pinot Blanc), Scheurebe, Gewürztraminer, Grauburgunder (Pinot Gris) and Siegerrebe, as well as the red wine varieties Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) and Dornfelder. In years with favourable weather conditions, Beerenauslese and Trockenbeerenauslese wines are also produced. Fine brandies (yeast, marc), grape juice, semi-sparkling wine and bottle-fermented sparkling wine are also produced.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
