The winery is located at Schloss Hohenbeilstein in the German wine-growing region of Württemberg. It was acquired in 1959 by Eberhard Dippon, who began organic farming as early as 1987. The farm was taken over by son Hartmann Dippon in 1991 after practical experience in France, New Zealand and California. The vineyards cover 14 hectares of vines mainly in the wholly owned single vineyard Schlosswengert. They are planted with the red wine varieties Lemberger, Trollinger, Spätburgunder, Schwarzriesling, Samtrot, Regent and Muskat-Trollinger, as well as the white wine varieties Riesling, Weißburgunder, Cabernet Blanc and Johanniter. Since 1994, the winery has been completely converted to organic viticulture.
