The winery is located in the municipality of Ebringen (Markgräflerland area) in the German wine-growing region of Baden. The manager and cellar master is Andreas Engelmann. The vineyards cover six hectares of vines in the single vineyard Sommerberg (Ebringen). They are planted with the varieties Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chasselas and Sauvignon Blanc. Natural, environmentally friendly viticulture is consistently practised with permanent cover crop, organic fertilisation and gentle soil care. The grapes are harvested by hand and strictly selected. The average yield is 55 hl/ha. The white wines ferment in stainless steel and are then aged in large wooden barrels or in stainless steel on the fine lees until spring. The red wines mature in barrique for at least one year after the three-week mash fermentation. The flagship of the house is the "Pinot Noir S" from the best plots of the Sommerberg. Around 37,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. A bottle-fermented sparkling wine is also produced.
