Schenzel-Wallner

The winery is located in the municipality of Bruck/Leitha in the Lower Austrian wine region of Carnuntum. It is managed by Willi and Barbara Schenzel. A Heuriger is attached. The vineyards comprise ten hectares of vineyards, 70% of which are planted with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot (in the municipality of Prellenkirchen), and 30% with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Welschriesling and Chardonnay (in the municipality of Bruck/Leitha). One has concentrated on varietal wines. Among the premium wines are Oktavius (Blaufränkisch), Xxenia (Zweigelt), Don Carlos (Cabernet Sauvignon), Rubin Carnuntum (Blaufränkisch), Chardonnay Reserve and Amadeus (Grüner Veltliner). Around 40,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. Distillates are also produced. The winery is a member of the association for the promotion of the Carnuntum wine region.
