DOC area for dry red, rosé and white wines in the Italian region of Calabria. The zone includes parts of the municipalities of Falerna and Nocera Terinese in the eponymous Scavigna area of the province of Catanzaro. The composition of the varieties has been significantly changed in 2011. The Bianco is blended from Traminer Arimatico = Gewürztraminer (max. 50%), Chardonnay (max. 30%), Pinot Bianco = Pinot Blanc (max. 10%), Riesling Italico = Welschriesling (max. 10%), as well as other approved varieties (max. 45%). Rosso and Rosato are made from Aglianico (max. 60%), Magliocco Canino (max. 20%), as well as other approved varieties (max. 45%).
