Scarecrow

In the vineyard used defense against pests in the form of old clothes and fluttering ribbons adapted straw dolls. The effect is rather small and should be combined with acoustic methods. Another, more effective form is the scarecrow, which is modelled on a bird of prey. This awakens the birds' primal instinct of fear against birds of prey. The most effective form is the so-called dragon scarecrow. At the end of a telescopic rod, which is over ten metres high, sits a dragon, which is also modelled on a bird of prey. Such devices also exist in the form of a balloon filled with helium gas on a suitably long string. Scarecrows are used as part of biological or integrated plant protection. The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
