Scacco

The white grape variety originates from Italy. Synonyms are Scaccolino and Squacquero. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2010, it is probably a natural cross between Forcelese d'Ascoli x Quaiara (Dindarella). It was also a parent in the Carricante. However, the Scacco variety has no significance.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
