Sárfehér

The white grape variety comes from Hungary. Synonyms are Alföldi Fehér, Alföldi grape, Ardai, Batai, Cseki, Glenovetz, Silberweiß, Sperlin, Spirlin, Szagos, Szagos Sárfehér, Szagos, Vizesfehér, Zöld Sárfehér and Zsige. It must not be confused with the varieties Arany Sárfehér, Juhfark (Sárfehér) or Mézes Fehér (Szagos Sárfehér), despite the fact that synonyms or morphological similarities may appear to indicate this. The parentage (parenthood) is unknown. The variety Alba Imputotato was created by a presumably natural crossing with the Hamvas variety. Sárfehér is an all-female variety. In 2016, two hectares of vineyards were designated (statistics Kym Anderson).
