Sardegna Semidano

DOC area for white wine in the Italian region of Sardinia. The zone covers the entire island. The Mogoro subzone includes the municipalities of Baressa, Gonnoscodina, Gonnostramatza, Masullas, Mogoro, Pompu, Simala, Siris and Uras in the province of Oristano, and Sardara and Villanovaforru in the province of Medio Campidano. The wine is made from at least 85% of the autochthonous Semidano variety and a maximum of 15% of other authorised varieties. There are the wine types Bianco (not indicated on the label), Superiore, Passito, Spumante and Mogoro.
