The winery is located in the municipality of Worms-Herrnsheim (Wonnegau area) in the German wine-growing region of Rheinhessen, but there are also vineyards in the Palatinate. In 1999, a newly built farm building was occupied and the winery was named after its new location. A hotel and a restaurant are attached. The winery is run in the third family generation by Daniel and Eva-Maria Schäfer, supported by their parents Bertold and Marianne Schäfer. The vineyards cover 30 hectares of vines in the Rheinhessen single vineyard sites of Nonnenwingert (Worms) and Schloss (Herrnsheim), as well as in the Palatinate single vineyard Reiterpfad (Ruppertsberg). They are planted with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Dorsa, Blauer Portugieser, Merlot and Schwarzriesling, as well as with the white wine varieties Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Silvaner, Gewürztraminer, Gelber Muskateller, Müller-Thurgau, Scheurebe, Ortega, Huxelrebe and Siegerrebe.
