San Pietro

The white grape variety originates from Italy. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2021, it originates from a presumably natural cross between Maiolica x unknown partner (in an analysis carried out in 2010, Bicane x Muscat Blanc were named as parents). The medium to late ripening vine is cultivated in small quantities in the province of Caserta in Campania and is mainly used as a blend. However, no stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
