Sainte Marie

The white grape variety comes from France. Synonyms are Sainte-Marie de Biviers and Saint Marie. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2012, it is probably a natural cross between Gouais Blanc x Chasselas. However, this is based on only 20 DNA markers (see molecular genetics). The Plant de Séchex and Plant de Vincelles were created with the same parents. The variety is cultivated in Gascony. However, no stocks were recorded in 2016 (statistics Kym Anderson).
