Saint Côme

The white grape variety originates from France. According to DNA analyses carried out in 2013, it is a presumably natural cross between Gouais Blanc (White Heunisch) x Moural. However, this is based on only 20 DNA markers (see under molecular genetics). No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
