Rupestris du Lot

The rootstock is derived from a vine of the species Vitis rupestris. Synonyms include Albarella, Du Lot, Dyu Lo, Lacastelle, Monticola, Monticola rupestris, Rupestris Californie, Rupestris Colineau, Rupestris Phenomene, Rupestris Reich, Rupestris Richter and Rupestris St. George. The selection was made in France in 1879 by the breeder M. R. Sijas. It is an all-female vine. The vine was used by some breeders, such as Federico Paulsen. She was involved in the breeding of Golia (1), Nemadex Alain Bouquet and Terras 20, among others.
