The red grape variety is an interspecific new variety between Petra x Bianca. Incidentally, the new variety Backa was also bred from the same parents. It contains genes from Vitis amurensis and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in Serbia by Petar Cindric and Nadar Korac. Plant variety protection was granted in 2002. The vine is resistant to frost and to fungal diseases. However, no stock was reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
For my many years of work as an editor with a wine and culinary focus, I always like to inform myself about special questions at Wine lexicon. Spontaneous reading and following links often leads to exciting discoveries in the wide world of wine.
