The red grape variety is a new breeding between(Revolta x Alibernet = Odessky Cherny) x André. The crossing was done in the Czech Republic by a team led by Vilém Kraus (1924-2013). The variety was taken over in Germany by Hermann Jäger in Ockenheim (Rheinhessen) and further developed by selection. The plant variety protection was granted in 2004. The medium maturing vine is resistant to fungal diseases. It produces deep dark, full-bodied red wines with soft tannins and aromas of black fruits, which are well suited as colouring complexion. It is cultivated in Germany (15 ha) and the Czech Republic. In 2016, however, only the stock in Germany was declared (Kym Anderson).
