The Königshof winery is located in Boppard in the German Mittelrhein
wine growing region. The name of the winery goes back to a medieval courtyard, on the ruins of which parts of the winery buildings now stand. The seven hectares of vineyards, which have been owned by the family for generations, are today managed by Elisabeth Ries and Reinhard Gräf. Riesling is the main grape variety in the Feuerlay
(Bopparder Hamm) sites. The marketing of the delicately fruity wines, which are characterised by the slate soil, takes place mainly in the Baudobriga Rheinhotel (Baudobriga is the Roman-Celtic name of Boppard), which is run by the family and has a cosy wine bar and beautiful balcony guest rooms with a wonderful view of the Rhine.
