The "Wein- & Sektgut Fritz Rothenbach" is located in the municipality of Oestrich-Winkel in the German wine-growing region of Rheingau. The farm is run by Fritz Peter Rothenbach. The vineyards cover just under eight hectares of vines in the Jungfer (Hallgarten), Doosberg, Klosterberg and Lenchen (Oestrich), and Edelmann (Mittelheim) sites. They are mainly planted with the two varieties Riesling and Pinot Noir, as well as smaller quantities of Portugieser, Dunkelfelder, Frühburgunder and Huxelrebe. The white wines are fermented in a cool place and mostly matured in stainless steel. The red wines are classically matured in large wooden barrels after mash fermentation. In years with suitable weather conditions, noble sweet specialities such as Beerenauslesen and Trockenbeerenauslesen are also vinified. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced.
