Producer description of "Weingut Roth"

The winery is located in the municipality of Wiesenbronn (Steigerwald area) at the foot of the Schwanberg in the German wine-growing region of . A new vinotheque was completed in 2007. The winery is run by Gerhard Roth, already the fifth generation of the family to do so. The vineyards cover 16 hectares of vineyards in the Altenberg (Abtswind), as well as Geißberg, Heller Berg and Wachhügel (Wiesenbronn) sites. Half of the vineyards are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling, Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Blanc, Bacchus, Kerner, Traminer and Scheurebe, and the other half with the red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Blaufränkisch, Portugieser, Schwarzriesling, Domina and Regent. has been practiced in accordance with the guidelines of the organic association since 1974. The winery is therefore one of the pioneers.
