single vineyard in the municipality of Glottertal (Breisgau area) in the German wine-growing region of Baden. The south-southwest to south-facing vineyard at 500 metres above sea level with a slope of 50 to 60% covers ten hectares of vineyards on gneiss weathered soil. The site is one of the highest vineyards in Germany. Here, mainly Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay are cultivated. Shares in the vineyard are held, for example, by winegrowers of the WG Glottertal and the Wassmer Martin winery.

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
