The small appellation is an enclave within the large Bergerac area in southwest France. The sweet white wine is blended from Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle. Well known producers are Domaine de la Cardinolle and Château Puypezat. The Pécharmant appellation is located in the area as an enclave.
The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
