The winery is located in the municipality of Volkach (Maindreieck area) in the German wine-growing region of Franconia. It was founded in 1918 and built up by four generations. In 2015, the business was sold by the long-standing owner family Flammersberger to Peter Heidecker. Master cellarer Sebastian Schubert is responsible for the winemaking. The vineyards cover around 11 hectares of vines mainly in the single vineyard Ratsherr (Volkach), some of which have a slope of over 50%, as well as Sonnenwinkel (Altmannsdorf). They are planted with the white wine varieties Silvaner, Riesling, Rieslaner, Müller-Thurgau, Gewürztraminer, Bacchus, Kerner and Chardonnay as well as with the red wine varieties Domina, Pinot Noir, Acolon, Schwarzriesling and Regent.
