Producer description of "Weingut Eckehart Gröhl"

The winery is located in the municipality of Weinolsheim (Nierstein area) in the German wine-growing region of . The traditional family has been growing grapes here since 1625. Since 1994, the winery has been run by Eckehart and Angela Gröhl, the 12th generation of the family. In 2003, a new wine press house with a white wine and red wine cellar of a high quality standard was put into operation. A vinotheque is attached. The vineyards cover 20 hectares, mostly in the area of the . They are cultivated in the single vineyards Hohberg and Kehr (Weinolsheim), Bergkirche, Hölle and Pettenthal (Nierstein), Kranzberg (Dalheim), Aulenberg (Uelversheim), as well as , and in sole ownership Schützenhütte (Oppenheim).
