The winery is located in the municipality of Neusiedl am See in the Burgenland wine-growing region of Neusiedlersee. The traditional family has been involved in viticulture for centuries. Today, the winery is run by Paul Rittsteuer. The vineyards cover nine hectares of vineyards on the northern shore of Lake Neusiedl. They are 55% planted with the white wine varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Grüner Veltliner and Welschriesling, and 45% with the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch, St. Laurent and Merlot. The vineyards are cultivated in a near-natural way that is gentle on beneficial insects. Quality criteria in the vineyard are yield-reducing thinning and foliage care. Depending on the type, the wines are matured in steel tanks or in barriques. The premium wines include, for example, Grüner Veltliner Alte Reben, the white wine cuvée "Am See" (Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Welschriesling), Chardonnay Lehmgruber and Zweigelt Neuberg. The farm manager is president and honorary member of the winegrowers' association Renommierte Weingüter Burgenland. Around 50,000 bottles of wine are produced annually.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
