The winery is located in the municipality of Eichstetten (Kaiserstuhl area) in the German wine-growing region of Baden. It is managed by Friedhelm Rinklin. His father converted the entire farm to cultivation according to the DEMETER guidelines as early as 1955 and to organic-ecological cultivation in 1971. He was also instrumental in founding the Bioland association. The vineyards cover six hectares of vines in the single vineyard Herrenbuck (Eichstetten). They are planted with the white wine varieties Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Muscat, Riesling and Sauvignon Bl anc, as well as the red wine varieties Pinot Noir and Regent. The vineyards are cultivated in accordance with organic pest management, with no chemical fungicides and organic fertilisation without the use of water-soluble substances. To support the vines, they are treated with herbal extracts, rock meals, sulphur and restrictively with copper.
