The winery is located in the municipality of Calerno di Sant'Ilario d'Enza (province of Reggio Emilia) in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. It was founded in 1972 by Rinaldo Rinaldini (+2010). Today, it is run by Paola Rinaldini, her husband Marco Melegari, and son Luca. Luca Zavarese is responsible as enologist. The vineyards cover 15 hectares of vines on alluvial soils with a high plant density of 4,000 vines/hectare each in cordon training. They are planted with the red wine varieties Lambrusco Grasparossa, Lambrusco Maestri, Lambrusco Marani, Lambrusco Peduncolo Ross o (Lambrusco Pjcol Ross), Lambrusco Salamino, Ancellotta and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as with the white wine varieties Chardonnay, Malvasia di Candia Aromatica and Pinot Bianco. The winery thus cultivates several Lambrusco varieties.
