The white grape variety is an interspecific new variety between Riesling x Seyve-Villard 12-309 (Roucaneuf). Synonyms are Riesling Magaratsch and Risling Magaracha. It contains genes from Vitis berlandieri, Vitis labrusca, Vitis lincecumii, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed at the Magarach Institute (Ukraine). No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
