The white grape variety (also Gargiulo 38049) is a new breeding between Riesling Rhoda (Riesling) x Gargiulo 377 (Hebén x Sultana). It must not be confused with the varieties Rieslaner or Riesliner. The cross was made by the breeder Angel Gargiulo in San Rafael (Mendoza, Argentina). The variety is used as a wine press and table grape. In 2016, an area under cultivation of 103 hectares was reported in Argentina (Kym Anderson).
