Description (also extract-rich, extract-strong, material) for the positive overall impression in the context of a wine appeal. Such a wine is characterized by a high and balanced content of total extract (all soluble substances except water, volatile acids and alcohol). If the extract and alcohol content is very high, one speaks of full-bodied, whereby the two terms can also be considered equivalent.
