The winery is located in the municipality of Reith near Langenlois in the Lower Austrian wine growing region of Kamptal. The traditional business was founded in 1880 and is now managed by Wolfgang and Sylvia Groll. The vineyards comprise 9.5 hectares of vineyards in the Fahnberg, Hiesberg, Hoheneck, Kogelberg, Reitberg and Seeberg areas. They are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Chardonnay, Riesling and Gelber Muskateller, as well as the red wine variety Zweigelt. They are cultivated with beneficial insect friendly pesticides. The wines are produced with gentle pressing and temperature-controlled cooled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. The red wines are aged in barriques. Among the premium wines are several Rieslings and Grüner Veltliner Kamptal DAC and Kamptal DAC Reserve from different vineyards.
